Kenya’s budget airline, Jambojet recorded an impressive on-time performance (OTP) of 81 percent of its flights (arrivals and departure), in May 2017.
The carrier’s OTP was an improvement from 51 percent in December 2016, but drop from 85 percent in April this year.
The OTP is a universal standard benchmark set by International Airlines Transport Association (IATA) and considers flights departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time as being on-time. An OTP of 80 per cent and above is considered excellent by international aviation standards.
