Hospitality firm Sarova Hotels, has signed a Kes1.3billion management contract for a 146-room hotel property in Nakuru, Kenya as part of its plan to strengthen presence in Africa.
The four-star facility will feature state of the art conference facilities with a ball room of over 250 guests with 146 luxurious rooms, 125 being deluxe rooms and 21 Suites.
Sarova Hotels managing Director J. S Vohra said that the vibrancy of the hospitality sector in the past few years has led to the establishment of new operations.
“Kenya offers tremendous scope for the hospitality sector to grow. In Nakuru we realized a gap for a luxurious business hotel, we are confident our guests will enjoy the Sarova experience,” he said.
With the signing, the three-star property is expected to be operational by April. This becomes the second property in Nakuru for the hotel chain after the Sarova Hill game lodge.
Sarova continues with its expansion spree in Africa which is considered as a second home for the company after India. With this opening, Sarova Woodlands Hotel & Spa will add to the eight properties that are under the Sarova hotels portfolio.
