Jubilee Insurance has paid out a Group Personal Accident claim of Sh 341,277,840.00 to Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) which will go to families of affected soldiers killed in El-Adde attack in Somalia.
The policy covers accidental death or disablement to the insured persons or to their legal representatives.
“We understand the pain and confusion that comes with the sudden loss of a loved one and nothing can help bring them back and fill that vacuum. Insurance is an important component of everyday life.” said Nizar Juma, the group Chairman of Jubilee Insurance.
Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Defense Raychelle Omamo said the payment was proof that insurance can help you get through difficult times without having to go into debt because of unexpected situations.
“We tried partnering with various insurance companies in the past for a number of policies, but they have failed to pay claims. We are glad to have partnered with Jubilee Insurance,” said Omamo.
