Etihad Airways plans to triple its Nairobi flights by the end of the year, adding over 1,600 seats a week, reinforcing its commitment to the continent’s growing demand for air connectivity.
The UAE carrier will raise its services from four to eight weekly flights in October before scaling up to double daily flights, 14 per week, by December 15, 2025 – a year after relaunching Nairobi operations. The increased capacity will raise Etihad’s total weekly seat offering on the Nairobi route to more than 2,200.
“We’re here in Nairobi to underscore how important this market is to Etihad. We’ve continued to see strong demand that validates our decision to significantly increase capacity on this route to double daily service,” said Javier Alija, Vice President of Global Sales & Distribution, in Nairobi.
Further adding that, the airline will add 27 new routes across the globe as part of its ambitious expansion drive.
The link will further stimulate cross-business and trade opportunities between the UAE and the growing Kenyan economy.
