United Bank for Africa (UBA) Kenyan unit yesterday unveiled a virtual banker christened LEO, an e-chat service (mobile) application that will see its customers have access to their accounts, check their bank mini statements, send money instantly and open new accounts on the go.
The move, a first for the East African market, the bank said Wednesday was critical in deepening its presence and services in the region.
“This is a fast for this market, and that we hope will transform how banking is done in Kenya,” explained UBA Kenya Chief executive Isaac Mwige.
