Twiva Receives Global Social Commerce Award

Twiva's innovative approach to social commerce has enabled the platform to gain significant traction in the African market

Twiva, the AI-driven social commerce platform, has been awarded the prestigious Social Commerce Award at the 7th Annual International Pacesetters Awards in Nairobi.

This recognition marks the fourth industry accolade for Twiva this year, solidifying its position at the forefront of the industry.

Twiva’s CEO & Co-founder Peter N. Kironji attributed the award to the skill and ingenuity of the company’s founders and management. “We are building the future of retail in Africa by disrupting a $500 billion industry, digitizing and democratizing market access for MSMEs, and fostering trust in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets,” Kironji said.

Twiva’s innovative approach to social commerce has enabled the platform to gain significant traction in the African market. As the first social commerce platform in Kenya, Twiva has established itself as the fastest-growing, with a community of over 11,000 influencers and more than 2,500 businesses on board.

The platform also boasts hundreds of thousands of unique monthly visitors, making it a go-to destination for online shoppers.

The company’s success is not limited to its user base; Twiva has also made significant strides in providing a seamless online shopping experience. Through its AI-driven platform, Twiva offers a unified path to purchase, integrating social experiences and e-commerce transactions in a way that is both intuitive and user-friendly.

According to a Digital Economy Report by Dalberg, a global advisory firm, Twiva’s innovative approach is aligned with the growing demand for platforms that enable direct engagement between businesses and buyers, with payment options on delivery.

The report highlights the potential of social commerce platforms like Twiva to revolutionize the e-commerce landscape in Africa.

The Kenyan e-commerce market, in particular, presents a significant opportunity for Twiva to capitalize on.
