Kenya Airways has rescheduled its night flight to Kigali, Rwanda, following closure of the international airport’s runway for repairs effect Monday 8.
KQ will now operate flight KQ478 direct to Kigali and return via Entebbe, Uganda departing JKIA at 00.25am local time and arriving in Kigali at 00.50am local time (Rwanda).
The same flight will depart Kigali at 1.40am local time (Rwanda) and arrive in Entebbe at 3.30am local time (Uganda) before departing for Nairobi at 4.45am local time to arrive at 6.00am.
The airline’s two day flights to Kigali will remain on schedule.
Authorities in Rwanda announced the closure of the runway daily with effect from February 2nd up to March 31, 2016. The runway will be closed from 0200hr to 0700hr.
The airline however will continue to operate two day flights to Bujumbura, Burundi as its evening flight remains suspended due to security concerns.
Passengers who had already booked to travel on the affected days will be rebooked on the new schedule and notified by the customer relations team
