JKIA rated the second best Lounge globally

Kenya Airways Lounges at JKIA were rated the second best after Taipei, in Taiwan by SkyTeam passengers in a recent survey by Air transport News.

The state of the art Lounges in JKIA have consistently won international awards over the past two years since its opening towards the end of 2014.

Simba Lounge and Pride Lounge are the two exclusive lounges used by Premier World passengers transiting through Kenya Airways’ JKIA hub.

The lounges are also used by Sky Priority passengers from the airline’s SkyTeam partners who rated them amongst the top in the world.

Pride Lounge, which is set on 991 square metres, features a circular layout overlooking the airside. It will provide premium hospitality complete with a Cigar Room, Piped music (sectional), Washrooms and showers, a Kiddy Zone and a Dining/ Working area.

Simba Lounge spans 360 square metres. Features of the rectangular lounge are: Smoking Zone, Family Lounge, Business Experience Centre, Piped music (entire facility), Washrooms and showers, Noise Proof Quiet Zone for sleeping and a Dining/Working area.

KQ CEO Mbuvi Ngunze said that most of the recognition is not just a vote about product facilities offered, but also customers perceptions about JKIA’s service standards.

The SkyTeam Alliance was also awarded ‘Airline Alliance of the Year’ for the third year in a row in the latest Air Transport News Awards that took place in Salzburg, Austria, on Saturday, March 26th.
