Traditional Greek food, music, dancing and culture will be in abundance at the dusitD2 Nairobi during the Greek food festival scheduled for November 12th to 19th.
The one-week food festival at the hotel’s Soko restaurant is aimed at celebrating the Greek culture through food and music.
The festival, which is sponsored by dusitD2 Nairobi and Qatar Airways, will entail the hotel bringing in two chefs from Greece who will prepare a Greek inspired menu and will be accompanied by typical Greek live bouzouki music.
According to dusitD2 Nairobi General Manager, Michael Metaxas, the delicacies to be served at the festival will give customers a life time experience of the Greek culture.
“Food is an important part of Greek culture. They put their heart, soul and favourite Greek seasoning into many of their delicious delicacies. dusitD2 Nairobi will ensure patrons get the Greek experience during the festival,” says Metaxas.
Guests will be required to make reservations to attend the week-long event. They will have plenty of time to enjoy all the Greek festival has to offer from 7.00pm until 10:30 pm daily.
Traditional Greek food will include Chicken gyros, calamari, souvlaki, spanakopita, fassolada soup and more, plus Greek desserts and pastries.
Apart from the menu, the dinner set up will be inspired by the Greek Blue skys and sea colors and lively Greek music.
In June this year the hotel successfully hosted the New Delhi meets Bangkok food festival with the support of Qatar Airways.
The event featured two top chefs from New Delhi, India and Bangkok, Thailand, who offered a unique menu of fusion of dishes from Indian and Thai cuisines.
