Low cost carrier, fastjet has increased the number of flights on its route between Dar es Salaam and Nairobi following a surge in passenger demand.
The airline will from 21 March offer two daily return flights between each city every day of the week, making a total of 28 flights per week between Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport and Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The carrier currently operates one daily flight between the two cities with fares starting from Sh13, 200 one-way, inclusive of all relevant government taxes.
“We promised to increase the frequency on our route between Dar es Salaam and Nairobi as consumer demand grew for our affordable, safe, quick and on-time service,” said Jimmy Kibati, fastjet General Manager for East Africa.
The announcement comes barely two months following the carrier’s maiden flight between the two countries in January.
