Deacons pens franchise deal with Tesco

Retail firm, Deacons East Africa Wednesday signed a regional franchise rights agreement with F&F – a UK fashion brand TESCO.

“These are exciting times for our clients whose ever-changing trends and demands have necessitated for new offerings.

The new agreement will enable us to capitalize on the increasing retail opportunities and growth in the middle class market regionally.

It will also allow us to offer key fashion categories and enable us to roll out stores across the region in line with our five-year strategy to be a 60 store multi-brand operation by 2020,” said Deacons chief executive Muchiri Wahome.

The pact will now see the retailer launch the brand in tow stores at Sarit Centre and the Hub in Karen ahead of Christmas festivities.

“We are looking forward to working together to bring F&F affordable fashion to this region buoyed by our success in Europe, Middle East and Asia,” said F&F Global Partnerships International director Marcus Chipchase.
