Kenya is set to play host to the first Connected Africa Summit 2024 – a platform poised to transcend the conventional boundaries of growth.

The conference brings together key stakeholders in the technology, telecommunications, and digital industries in Africa to discuss and collaborate on advancements in connectivity, digital infrastructure, and innovation in the region.

It will also serve as Africa’s premier ICT and innovation platform, through which the continent will take steps toward creating investor-friendly policies to enable it to bridge the digital divide and create smart villages. The Summit will act as a platform where African leaders can position the African tech agenda in readiness for the UN Summit of the Future to be held in September 2024 and determine their role in green technology and governance of generative AI for African realities.

It also serves as a strategic forum to chart a course towards a digitally empowered and interconnected future for Africa, setting the stage for unprecedented growth and prosperity.

It will also address key challenges and opportunities in shaping the future of connectivity and digital transformation in Africa. It typically features keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities for participants to engage and exchange ideas.

“We have made major strides with groundbreaking innovations, which other African countries will have a chance to benchmark. We also have much to learn from our peers who have gone before us.

Therefore, this event sets the stage for unprecedented growth and prosperity, and your participation will play a significant role in shaping a connected future for Africa,” said the ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
