Goldenscape Group founder Peter Wangai has strongly refuted claims that he defrauded investors in his business dealings – terming the mingling information as being malicious meant to blot the company’s reputation.
“We would like to confirm that earlier today (Tuesday) on social media one of our aggrieved employee who was dismissed is circulating false information about our company,” he said in a written notice, further saying the company was operating soundly contrary to the reports.
The unknown former employee had last week written to the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i claiming his employer was involved in fraudulent business dealings and as such was dodging paying the taxman its due share while misleading investors – fearing the company was operating a ponzi scheme.
“They have been using the money brought by the new investors to pay the existing investors, this has been working very well because the new investments were more than the returns paid but not anymore. The current situation is now worrying because the return paid is now more than the money coming in. this has resulted in financial deficit which is worsening by the day,” wrote the aggrieved employee – who has also claimed that the company founder and his wife was on the verge of fleeing the country to avoid remitting the taxes to Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
“He and the managing director Irene Muthoni (his wife) are contemplating fleeing the country to Thailand next month on 3rd November to avoid paying the returns. Kindly act as fast as possible for the sake of the public,” he said.
Goldenscape is a private company that raises money from the public and has interests in Real estate, Technologies, Cleaning, Investments, Interior designing, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Tourism and Hospitality.
