Kuku Foods East Africa Holdings Ltd has been awarded the franchisee of the Year at the 2016 regional leadership conference in Cape Town.
KFC Africa Managing Director, Doug Smart said the franchise was awarded for its successful implementation of ambitious business turnaround strategies the firm had last year.
The move involved business growth, excellent new restaurant build results and exceptionally high rating for customer feedback on product and experience obtained in a survey by Guest Experience Survey (GES).
The Franchisee of the Year Awards is held annually with the deserving franchisee measured in the spirit of the partnership, ability to deliver a winning customer experience, excellent operational standards, openness to innovation & adding of sales layers, building new KFC restaurants and the quality of existing restaurants amongst a few.
KFEA was also nominated for ‘Developer of the year’ as well as ‘People grower of the year’ – both fantastic achievements in themselves. It is the first franchisee out of South Africa to ever win the award.
Meanwhile KFEA has announced plans with the opening of nine more stores across the region.
