Interswitch, the Africa-focused integrated electronic payments and Commerce Company has partnered with Telkom Kenya to develop and deploy Sim Toolkits, USSD, and App solutions to enable their push towards integrated Digital Services in the revamped Telkom Kenya strategy.
Kenya is acknowledged as a leader in mobile payments solutions and high uptake of Digital Financial Services. There is also a growing uptake of Smartphones thus enabling rapid adoption of Mobile Banking and payment Apps. It is this growing market that Telkom is looking to tap into with its Digital Services.
Paul Mwaura Ndichu, CEO Interswitch East Africa (K) says, ‘The world is moving more towards mobile and Digital solutions and Kenya is no exception. It is estimated that by 2025, more people worldwide will have their first banking experience on the phone and in Kenya, we are working closely with our partners in the Technology and Financial Services sectors to enable development and roll-out of solutions to meet this growing demand’.
The solutions will hasten the speed at which Telkom Kenya customers are able to access services from their different financial providers. This ease in getting services will allow customers get all the convince at the palm of their hands.
