Reading In Africa: A Neglected Necessity?

Access to books in Kenya and the African continent is progressively increasing, which is a departure from the past, where this was not possible primarily due to high adult and youth illiteracy rates, a lack of access to affordable books, and inadequate library resources.

According to Abdullahi Bulle, the founder of Nuria Store, a Kenyan online bookstore and a proponent of self-publishing for African authors, more African authors are now getting recognition.
