KWAL donates Sh10M towards COVID-19 Emergency kitty

Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) Friday donated Sh 10 million towards Kenya COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund in support to the fight against COVID-19.
The money will go towards welfare interventions which include providing food and essential commodities to vulnerable communities affected by the pandemic.
It will also be utilized for purchase of medical supplies and provision of PPEs. The donation comes at a time when the country is recording increased confirmed COVID-19 cases with current numbers at 3,305.
KWAL Managing Director, Lina Githuka said, “COVID-19 is more than a health crisis, it is essentially an economic crisis.
With schools closed, job disruptions, loss of livelihoods and health concerns, the support is necessary to cushion vulnerable communities from the adverse effects of the pandemic and support national efforts to stop its spread,” she said.
