Hyatt Hotels to make major announcement on Kenyan expansion plan

Kenya’s tourism industry has experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of years with statistics from the Kenya Tourism Board noting that earnings increased from Sh98 billion to Sh120 billion in the past year.

This growth has been accredited to the number of investments in the sector and Kenya being the hub of East Africa.

As part of this growth, Hyatt Hotels, will on Wednesday announce its inaugural entry into the country and has organized a media roundtable to discuss Kenya’s plans as well as African expansion.

During the roundtable you will hear from Kurt Straub, Vice President of Operations, Middle East, Africa and South West Asia, and Regional Vice President, Real Estate and Development, Tejas Shah, about Hyatt Hotel’s entry into Kenya and plans for additional hotels throughout the region.

In addition to Kurt and Tejas, Managing Partner with HVS, Tim Smith, will discuss the fundamental’s driving Kenya’s hotel and hospitality sector.
