The36th Kenya Homes Expo has launched its activities at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, following the theme “Smart Living.”

In his keynote address, John Biwot, Deputy Director of the State Department of Housing, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing the real estate sector, particularly in its effort to create more affordable housing options for the population.

“The partnership with private sector players is essential in addressing the housing shortages our country faces. By working together, we can devise innovative strategies that improve the quality of life for our people and boost economic growth,” he stated.

Daniel Ojijo, the founder of the Kenya Homes Expo, also shared insights on the significance of government support for nurturing industry expansion.

“The level of support from the government has been remarkable, allowing us to innovate in the housing sector. Their assistance enables us to unite industry players and build a collaborative framework crucial for delivering affordable housing solutions,” Ojijo remarked.
