FedEx has joined forces with Feed the Children to launch the Growing Futures Alliance in Kenya, a program designed to tackle food insecurity through sustainable agricultural support.
Targeting approximately 1,800 children under five and their caregivers, the initiative provides nutritional food kits and gardening tools to foster small-scale food production.
FedEx volunteers in Kenya played a key role, packing and distributing these kits while interacting with local communities to gain insight into their needs. Running from January to April 2025, the program builds on the success of the prior Delivering Futures Alliance, which equipped Kenyan students with over 1,800 school supply kits.
The Growing Futures Alliance emphasizes long-term food sustainability and community resilience, aligning with FedEx’s broader commitment to social impact.
“As a company committed to delivering more than just packages, FedEx is proud to partner with Feed the Children to make a meaningful impact in Kenya,” said Gregory Saffy, managing director Sub-Saharan Africa.
Jacktone Otieno, Feed the Children’s Interim Country Director, added, “FedEx support enables us to reach more families and provide not just immediate relief, but long-term solutions for better nutrition and self-sufficiency.”
This effort is part of FedEx Cares, the company’s global initiative to empower communities through meaningful engagement and resources.
