Taxi drivers who are Easy Taxi Partners will now enjoy a discount of up to Ksh. 4 per liter of petrol following the signing of a partnership between Easy Taxi Kenya and Total Kenya.
Under the partnership, Total will equip up to 1000 Easy Taxi Cab drivers with the Total Bon Voyage card in a move which is expected to improve convenience, access and affordability. The partnership targets cab drivers that service corporate clients in a way that will streamline productivity, transparency and eliminate the usage of cash.
Speaking at the official launch of the partnership, Easy Taxi Kenya CEO Paul Ndichu noted that consistent use of the Total Bon-Voyage card would improve the bottom line for any partner operator.
“The largest expense for any taxi operator is the money spent on fuel. This partnership immediately slashes that by at least 4% at the minimum. This will definitely have a direct impact on profitability.” He said.
Easy Taxi has established that the targeted 1000 taxis consume over 400,000 liters of fuel monthly. The card will have a limit of 10,000 Kenya Shillings with the card being usable for all value added services including car wash, lubricants, car service and fuel at all Total stations. With this service, Easy taxi will ensure consistency in service for its corporate and individual customers.
Total Kenya Cards Manager Gerald Matola lauded the partnership saying it would enable taxi companies manage cash flow more efficiently.
“At Total Kenya, we pride ourselves on offering an entire array of value added services on our forecourts and petrol stations. Access to this and many more services are the additional benefits that come from using the Total Bon Voyage fuel card,” he added.
The partnership is expected to give Easy Taxi partner operators an edge in the market in terms of cost, as they pass on the benefits of increased efficiency and the discount to their Easy Taxi clients.
