Diani Reef Beach Resort& Spa has received a global recognition as Africa’s leading beach resort 2018 during the World Travels Awards Ceremony in South Africa.

Awarded at the Durban International Convention Centre on Saturday, Diani Reef has consecutively won this award in 2015 and 2010.

According to Bobby Kamani, the Managing Director, Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa, the Award is a recognition of the excellent experience the hotel is offering to both domestic and international tourists:

“The Diani Reef Family is ecstatic to have been chosen as the winners of Africa’s Leading Beach Resort 2018”. We are grateful that our efforts in upgrading our product as well as enhancing our service levels have been recognized by clients who have voted for us. Our sincere thanks to our voters for believing in us. We look forward to welcoming you back to your home in Diani.”

Mr. Kamani also noted that Diani Reef, a heritage hotel, has made significant improvement in the product and invested considerable time, effort and resources into training its incredible team members.

“In addition, a state – of – the – art conference facility which is the largest in the entire Coast has also been an added benefit to conference delegates visiting the region,” he said.

Kenya has always been a favorite destination for tourists because of the weather, strategic location and the mixture of flora, fauna and the ocean. But what makes Diani different is because of the white beaches. For four years in a row, Diani beach has been voted as the best in the African continent as the best beach destination.

Graham E. Cooke, Founder & President, WTA, said: “The Durban ICC has reinforced its standing as a world-class entertainment venue on what has been a magnificent evening of travel industry triumph, as well as a highlight of our 25th anniversary. We have had the privilege of recognising the leading hotels, airlines and hospitality providers from across Africa and the Indian Ocean and my congratulations to each of them.”

Hundreds of the leading travel industries figureheads from across Africa and the Indian Ocean attended the ceremony at the Durban ICC, the state-of-the-art events and entertainment venue, which was opened by the late Nelson Mandela in 1997.
