OLX users in Kenya to benefit from fast delivery of goods….following a pact signed with G4S

OLX users in kenya will now be able to collect their online purchases from G4S centres across the country, following an agreement reached between the company and G4S which is expected to ease move of goods.

The pact is also aimed at lowering the gap where there is no physical footprint of retail, as it will cut cost of the product shipment to the intended customer.

Speaking during the event, OLX Country manager Peter Ndiang’ui said that the service will lessen the burden of transport of them delivering the goods even as more traders, micro-businesses and consumers have increased exponentially in using the service.

“This partnership will enhance agility and reliability of the parcel at a lowest price possible until the shipment has been extended to the buyer in a convenient and secure manner” he said

He added the new frontier laid by the two will ensure that the goods and products reach the intended customer within 12 hours.

The Director G4S Secure Logistics, Geoffrey Mwove said that they have 36 collection and dropping points in Kenya thus the service will  see sellers deliver shipment to the nearest G4S collection center for dispatch to the buyer.

Mwove says that the service is secure as it takes care of instances of dishonesty from fraudsters and dubious sellers and buyers.

“The seller will be asked to set  a security question that is to be answered by the buyer upon collection of the package with necessary identification documents including ID/Passport” he said
