The Communications Authority (CA) has announced a Kes300,000 sponsorship deal towards the Kipchumba Karori International volleyball tournament, whose mission is to develop volleyball from the grassroots and widen opportunities for young players across the country.
Organised by the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF), in partnership with several sponsors, including CA, the tournament, unveiled on Friday, is set to run from December 19 to 21 at the Eldoret National Polytechnic, with this year’s tournament aiming to broaden its scholarship reach, with opportunities expected not only at the university level but also for secondary and primary school players.
Organisers say the expansion reflects the tournament’s long-term vision of creating sustainable pathways for young athletes.
