The bank‘s new multi-fund investment platform, tailored for high-net-worth individuals, is expected to expose wealthy investors to professionally managed global investment strategies as they increasingly look beyond traditional savings and local investments.
Unveiled Wednesday, the bank’s officials said the Standard Chartered Signature Select Variable Capital Company (VCC), approved by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) more than four months ago, brings together different investment strategies and global fund managers under one platform.
Historically, highly lucrative alternative assets like private equity and infrastructure were strictly dominated by large institutional investors like pension funds. Standard Chartered’s rollout aims to tap into the growing global financial wealth pool—which reached $333 trillion in 2025 according to the BCG Global Wealth Report 2026, marking a 10.7% growth rate—the strongest expansion since 2021.
This market has allowed retail-level affluent investors targeted by the bank’s new platform to capture premium yields while offering asset managers a fresh source of fundraising liquidity.
